Important Change in Registration & Enrollment Process for Summer School 2026

This year, Nixa High School is adjusting the Summer School process to better support student scheduling and course availability.

What’s new?

Instead of signing up immediately for Summer School courses in the spring, families will complete registration and a Summer School Course Interest Selection Form on PowerSchool. This form helps us plan staffing, class sizes, and course offerings, but it does not guarantee enrollment.

After Spring Break, students will meet individually with their high school or junior high counselor to officially enroll in Summer School courses. Final placements will be based on course availability, grade level, and attendance, similar to the regular school-year scheduling process.

Completing registration and the interest form before Spring Break is essential, as it allows us to accurately plan Summer School offerings. Students will not be able to enroll in a summer school course until registration and the interest form is completed.
