- MATHEWS
Students and staff at Mathews have been working hard in their backyard to create a new garden. The students have been involved in creating, building, and raking. They have also learned a lot of teamwork skills. The project has been a welcome relief for students, as they get to have a brain break after working hard on MAP testing.

Congratulations to Jan Zishka, our Support Staff of the Year, and Kim Collins, our Volunteer of the Year. Jan is the office manager at Summit. Kim volunteers with the choir program, is the choir booster president, and works at High Pointe in the library.

The fishing team has been around since 2011 and was run by Scott Sparkman. When Sparkman passed away, Brandon Thomas took over and has been leading the team since. If you are interested in joining the team, watch for updates in the fall. Anyone, male or female, can join starting in 7th grade. The team would like to thank all the parents for their support throughout the season.
