- EARLY CHILDHOOD
The Early Childhood Center held a sensory night to provide parents and students with a fun, screen-free evening of hands-on activities. It was also a great time for parents to connect with one another and engage with staff in a relaxed, low-stress environment.

One of the best days of the year for the Nixa Education Foundation is when they get to go around the district to award educators grants they have applied for to help fund classroom projects or innovations. This year, they awarded more than $25,000 to help teachers in the classroom who may have gone without or had to buy themselves. Thank you, NEF, for your generosity and for helping our school district!

Nearly 90 students, from more than 10 schools, came to Nixa for an all-day event to learn from Nixa students how to become better broadcasters. Students learned camera work, announcing, directing, and how to apply those skills in college and beyond. Jordan Burns, who oversees the Nixa Live program, wanted to show each school that no matter how small they are and how limited their budget is, they can develop a program similar to his.

- MATHEWS
Third-grade students at Mathews Elementary took part in Idiom Day, where they dressed as sayings like "it's raining cats and dogs". The event helps students think creatively while learning to understand figurative language. Teachers value the experience for making abstract language fun and memorable.
